Today we are talking about fruit and vegetable pillows, velvet ones.
Handmade from high quality cotton velvet by Rebecca Peach in San Francisco.
Here are a few of the most popular ones for a taster.
Had lots of interest about them recently.
A couple of years ago I made a new friend with a lady called Dawn who owned a wonderful coffee and cake shop called "Lovely". She invited me around to her home for dinner and the first thing I noticed was a red velvet rose pillow on her sofa.
I told her that I had made it and she was so surprised she hardly believed it. Sure enough it had my "Oipeach San Francisco" label on.
I had made it in San Francisco, Dawn had bought it on a trip to Barcelona and brought it home to Southsea, England.
Great story or what?!!!

A simple lunch for simple people at s1kitchens.......

Boiled egg & tomato sandwich with a pinch of salt, very important is the bread which is Pane Rustica, a very reasonable 89 English pence, can't get much in Waitrose for 89p, except this. Note the lovely rich yellow of the yolk, also make sure they are free rangers and the tomatoes are fully bursting with flavour.
That's yellow yolks and really red tomatoes.

Very very satisfactory.
All drinks in this particular wine cooler look high quality & refreshingly thirst quenching. This was a cool display at the Milan show, really nicely laid out with lots of greenery interspersed between aluminium, white and wood. Super cool visually.

That's what we're talking about...food so good that we didn't wait to photograph it.
Ate it, then took the picture!
If you are wondering what is was...mushrooms, bean sprouts, carrots, greens, garlic, chilli, ginger and a dash of soy sauce.

First line on my first blog in the life of s1kitchens...
We love really good stuff, what's the point of compromise? We only moan about it afterwards.
Great kitchens, strong Capoccetti coffee, truly ripe tomatoes, zingy apples and pungent stinking cheese just to start...
